Wheelspins in Forza Horizon 5 are in-game slot machine equivalents that give players a chance to win advantageous outfits, emotes, cars and credits.
So naturally, the Super Wheelspin, a rare (or should that be Legendary?) prize which rewards three regular Wheelspins simultaneously (all of which hold a higher chance for epic and legendary items than regular Wheelspins) is the Holy Grail of in-game bonuses for which every player should aspire. (They’re also a fast way to stack up on in-game credits.)
As we said however, Super Wheelspins are rare. Luckily, there are other ways besides playing through the game’s story and adventure modes for a scant chance at Super Wheelspin: namely, unlocking certain cars and their accompanying Car Mastery benefits. The following are what we consider the best cars for unlocking Super Wheelspins in Forza Horizon 5. The criteria for cars which made the list included a combination of factors including: the cost (the lower the better obviously), the ease with which Mastery points can be used to reach the Super Wheelspin and ease of obtaining the vehicle.
Update: Forza Horizon 5 Super Wheelspins got nerfed in a developer update which went live on February 1st. Click the link to see which cars were affected.
2015 Porsche Cayman GTS

Minimum requirement for unlocking Super Wheelspins: 11 Mastery points
1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z28
Cost: 53,000 credits
Minimum requirement for unlocking Super Wheelspins: 16 Mastery points
1997 Mazda RX-7

Minimum requirement for unlocking Super Wheelspins: 20 Mastery points
1999 Dodge Viper
Cost: Barn find/75,000 credits
Minimum requirement for unlocking Super Wheelspins: 20 Mastery points
As you might have deduced from the list above of the best cars in Forza Horizon 5 for unlocking Super Wheelspins, the 2015 Porsche Cayman GTS is the most advantageous way in terms of using as few Mastery points as possible; if you have trouble accruing Mastery points or want to conserve them for something else, and don’t mind spending 80,000 credits for a few or more, the 2015 Porsche Cayman GTS is the way to go for unlocking Super Wheelspins.
If you’d rather save credits, then the 1987 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am GTA, which only costs 25,000 credits, but requires 5 more Mastery than the Porsche Cayman GTS is also a worthwhile option.
The Jeep Trailcat and the Dodge Viper made the list because although they require more Mastery points than some of the others, these cars can be obtained for “free” so to speak — that is, they can be obtained in-game from completing certain tasks.
Do you have any other suggestions for the best cars in Forza Horizon 5 for unlocking Super Wheelspins? Did we leave any vehicles off the list? Let us know in the comments.
Ninja Gaiden was my rite of passage at an early age. After finally beating that game (and narrowly dodging carpal tunnel) I decided to write about my gaming exploits. These days I enjoy roguelikes and anything Pokemon but I'll always dust off Super Mario RPG, Donkey Kong Country and StarFox 64 from time to time to bask in their glory.
