Although CDPR has already stated that Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer content won’t be released before 2022, an estimate that is sure to be revised on account of all the controversy and criticism concerning the game’s glitch-laden, content-deficient December 10th launch, a recent Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer leak uncovered by dataminers has already revealed a number of components and details surrounding the upcoming auxiliary production.
According to the dataminer, who wishes to remain anonymous, the Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer content can be found within the game’s executable files. There are two different Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer modes, the first called “Heists,” where players will be able to assume the roles of various character classes (Netrunner, Techie, Solo, etc.). The following are some of the functions associated with the “Heists” Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer mode.

The second of the leaked Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer modes revealed in the datamine is a more straightforward one simply called “Deathmatch,” whose functions include some interesting phrases which sound right in line with Johnny Silverhand’s lexicon (“Your bullet was stronger than your self-esteem” and “%s’s bullet was stronger than your head”), implying that the central Cyberpunk 2077 character is, or was intended to be the announcer for the Deathmatch mode. The following are functions from the Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer “Deathmatch” mode.

There is also evidence of the leaked Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer content employing P2P (peer-to-peer) connections with a host authority rather than dedicated servers, although this is a facet that is very likely to change, given that the content isn’t close to being ready for public access.
What do you think of the leaked Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer content? Sound off in the comments.

Ninja Gaiden was my rite of passage at an early age. After finally beating that game (and narrowly dodging carpal tunnel) I decided to write about my gaming exploits. These days I enjoy roguelikes and anything Pokemon but I'll always dust off Super Mario RPG, Donkey Kong Country and StarFox 64 from time to time to bask in their glory.
