Xbox Series X branded emoji on Twitter now available

Microsoft Xbox Series X

You know something’s part of the cultural zeitgeist when it has its own custom, branded Twitter emoji and as of Monday evening Microsoft’s upcoming next-generation Xbox Series X console has been added to that prestigious list in anticipation of its November 10th release date.

Twitter users who add any of the following hashtags to their tweets will notice a little Xbox Series X emoji beside it, trademark green glow (well, green plastic disc above the fan, technically) and all:

  • #XboxSeriesX
  • #Xbox
  • #SeriesX
  • #PowerYourDreams
  • #PYD
  • #JumpIn

The PS5 has already featured a branded emoji for #Playstation5 related hashtags for some time now, a miniaturized blue, black and white DualSense controller.

And yes, we’re definitely overly (some might say egregiously) enthusiastic about the impending release of the Xbox Series X on November 10th and the Playstation 5 on November 12th — so much so that we’re writing about branded hashtags for the respective systems on Twitter. The hype is real.

What do you think of Xbox Series X branded emoji on Twitter? What about the Playstation 5 branded emoji? Which next-generation console features the better hashtag/branded emoji look? Let us know in the comments.
