E3, the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo video game industry event held in the Los Angeles Convention Center might be cancelled due to concerns over the Covid-19 coronavirus — but there are still plenty of games to be showcased and plenty of developers and publishers ready to show off their hard work in celebrations such as IGN’s Summer of Gaming, the Summer Game Fest and a number of other digital showcases and press conferences from video game publishers which will take place in E3’s stead.
IGN’s Summer of Gaming will begin on June 10th and feature hands-on demos, gameplay, previews, developer interviews via live broadcast on all major platforms from publishers such as 2K, Xbox, EA, Square Enix, CD Projekt Red, THQ Nordic, Ubisoft and more.
The Summer Game Fest will be hosted by The Game Awards host Geoff Keighley and will feature news, trailers and game demos from publishers such as Activision, Microsoft, Sony, Valve, Blizzard, Bethesda and more over a four-month period.
The following schedule will attempt to consolidate the announcements and showcases from IGN’s Summer of Gaming, Summer Game Fest and other individual publisher exhibitions. Feel free to let us know if we left one off the list or you’d like to be included.

Which E3 2020 alternative showcase are you looking forward to most? Do you think this trickling of information over a span of a few months is a more effective way to present new gaming information than the traditional convention or did E3 hold a certain allure to you? Let us know in the comments.
Ninja Gaiden was my rite of passage at an early age. After finally beating that game (and narrowly dodging carpal tunnel) I decided to write about my gaming exploits. These days I enjoy roguelikes and anything Pokemon but I'll always dust off Super Mario RPG, Donkey Kong Country and StarFox 64 from time to time to bask in their glory.
